Shimadzu UHPLC-MS/MS 8050 Spectrometer
“LCMS” is a combination of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry that capitalizes on both the physical separation capabilities of LC and the high-detail structural identity analysis of MS.
- Capable of high sensitivity quantitative analysis, multicomponent simultaneous analysis, and screening
- Trace quantitative analysis reproducible at attogram (ag) levels
- Polarity switching (15 msec rate via DUIS ESI probe) allows for the measurement of parent molecules with metabolites and degradation products without compromising quality
- Multiple reaction monitoring at 555 ch/sec
- Triple quadrupole mass spectrometer allows for unparalleled measurement speeds
Shimadzu UHPLC-MS/MS 8040 Spectrometer
“LCMS” is a combination of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry that capitalizes on both the physical separation capabilities of LC and the high-detail structural identity analysis of MS.
- Polarity switching (15 msec via DUIS ESI probe) is particularly useful for measuring parent molecules with metabolites and degradation products, which is often necessary for veterinary medicine, illicit drugs, and pesticides
- High speed scanning rate of 15,000 u/sec
Shimadzu Total Organic Carbon Analyzer (TOC-V CSH)
- Catalytic oxidation combustion at upwards of 720°C converts organic carbon in the sample to CO2. This CO2 is measured with a Non-dispersive Infra-Red sensor that is able to detect concentrations anywhere from 4 ug/L to 30,000 mg/L, allowing for an accurate representative measurement of organic carbon content.
- Similarly, data for inorganic carbon (e.g. dissolved CO2, carbon-containing acid salts) can be acquired using this device
Shimadzu LCMS-IT-TOF
A charge is applied to the molecules of interest, ionizing them. These ions are then fired downstream at a target a known distance away. Of ions sharing the same charge, lighter ones travel faster and vice versa. Thus, the mass-to-charge ratio determines an ion’s flight time. Because of this, when flight time and charge are known, mass can be determined when the other experimental parameters are also taken into account.
- This instrument measures the molecular mass of ions at a resolution of greater than 12,000 and therefore is particularly powerful at structure elucidation and verification of complex molecules
- Eluted ions are introduced from the LC to the ion trap by octapole lens compressed ion injection
- Ion trap QIT provides MSn capability
- Temperature control of the flight tube gives a mass stability using the length of the ion flight and ion acceleration voltage
Shimadzu Differential Scanning Calorimetry 60 Plus
- As temperature increases are implemented in a highly-controlled, linear manner, this instrument directly monitors the temperature of the sample along with a reference material that is being heated at the same rate. The difference in the amount of heat required to increase the temperature of the sample and the reference material is measured as a function of temperature and is used to calculate the specific heat capacity of the sample.
- Sample inherent melt curves, melting point determinations, purity assessment, and to a limited extent: water content.
Spectramax Plate Reader for UV Vis (96 and 384 well formats)
This high throughput device uses vertically projected light to provide both UV and visible absorbance as well as fluorescence measurements used to quantify DNA, RNA, free amino acids, proteins, and other molecules.
Thermo-Fisher QuantStudio 3 Real-time qPCR
By using a fluorometer to measure the fluorescence of gene-specific DNA probes, this instrument can determine the presence of multiple genes in a sample, as well as the quantity of genetic material.
Shimadzu ICPMS-2030
This instrument uses inductively coupled plasma to ionize the sample, which is particularly useful for the detection of isotopes and metals.
Tecan Genesis RSP 150
This robotic sample processor handles and coordinates liquids precisely to increase the volume and accuracy of your workflow.
- Can be integrated with plate washers, readers, and other sophisticated devices
Tomtec Quadra 4 NS
This work-flow automator can queue up to 50 assays at a time and can be configured for High Throughput NME Screening, Solid Phase Extraction, and Sandwich ELISA, among other workflows.
- The Tomtec Quadra 4 NS features timed dispensing, which is especially useful for projects that require pipetting both aqueous and organic liquids
- Auto serial dilution and ultrasonic tip washing capabilities
